The Provost’s Summer Mentorship Program (SMP) is a signature initiative of the Vice Provost for Student Engagement (VPSE) at the University of Pennsylvania, designed to promote college access in STEM and Law fields. The SMP is offered to current 9th and 10th-grade Philadelphia High School students. Admitted SMP participants attend an immersive four-week summer program curated by faculty and staff in five Penn Graduate and Professional schools: The Perelman School of Medicine, The Nursing School, The School of Engineering and Applied Science, The Penn Carey Law School, and The School of Dental Medicine.
